Biography

Ace Elijah...
Born on the auspicious date of 11/11/88 in the City of Angels and raised in a peripatetic music business family he traveled his early years from one global recording center to another accompanying his record-producer father and his mother who was co-owner of one of the influential NYC hiphop labels. Only A Fool Would Say, Ace’s second album, is notable for its beautifully crafted songs, intimate vocals, and gorgeous acoustic guitar playing, all performed live in the studio and recorded to perfection with no overdubs. Do you classify Ace under folk, Americana or singer-songwriter? The answer is yes to all yet his influences range from Bobby Darin to John Lennon, from Chet Baker to Ray Charles, from Nat King Cole to Marvin Gaye and the end result is uniquely Ace. His quietly powerful solo performances around the Maryland/DC/Virginia area have been reverberating through the grapevine. Check it out - the buzz has begun.
